Art is a way for people to express their selves-- a way I express myself.  Ever since I was younger, art has always been an important part of my life.  Art creates an outlet for the pressures life brings.  There’s no right or wrong, good or bad.  Through my artwork, I express and give a sense of simplicity.  I create art to be able to show the world that simplicity can also be beautiful and have deeper meanings than a composition overflowed with details.

Before I start making a new piece of artwork, I first decide what my theme will be.  I ask myself a couple questions such as, “Will the audience enjoy it?”  or “Is it interesting?”  After I am finished creating, I make sure that everything is coincides thematically, which will have something to do with either purity and simplicity or issues in the world and by art about my themes I try to capture these emotions and relate it to my audience.

Currently, I’m working on a painting and photography.  Photography has always been interesting to me and because it gives me a chance to explore a new medium in art.  It helps me to focus my compositions.  Photography was never a big challenge for me, but painting was one of my struggles.  By working on a painting, it challenges me to try things I’m not particularly good at.  Also, painting lets me have a better sense on what colors go together and what colors make other colors.
